Thank you very much. Setting probe speed solved plasma start issue.
But now it does not move. With "Arc OK" on and any feed value.

I forgot to mention that you have a 10 second Pierce Delay, that seems way too long, it won't move until that times out

This is strange, because I set it to 0.1, as in the hypertherm datasheet.
Thanks, fixed.
Now it works fine.

HI! It's me again with this config.
I'm trying to use THC THCAD-10, as it was use before. I did not rewire anything from last year.
So it worked before.

Now if add "setp plasmac.lowpass-frequency" 100 or 50 system crushed.
The program runs a few seconds, and I have time to see that the voltage now shows 0 volts stable. Then the screen smokes with stripes and that's it.
Not linuxcnc crushed, but system.
is very similar to trying to write to a protected area of the operating system memory. seen this before.
Warning: Spoiler!

But without this line Arc Voltage is +/- 9 V

Please help me. All configs are the same. Just added this line to .hal
setp  hm2_5i25.0.encoder.05.scale -1
setp  hm2_5i25.0.encoder.05.filter 1
setp  hm2_5i25.0.encoder.05.counter-mode 1

I don't see any issues when I change plasmac.lowpass-frequency, that is weird...
I would think that you may have some sort of grounding issue to get the voltage fluctuation that you have.
You could possibly hide the fluctuation to show zero volts by using the zero window setting:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/plasma/qtplasmac.html#_zero_window
I would recommend trying to find why you have the fluctuation rather than hiding it.

I moved encoder.05 to encoder.04 and now have not errors.
Now voltage is 0 (+3/-1) V
