New Configuration Error

Helping a guy run configurator to get his table going for the first time. Afterward, encountered this error on start-up "signal 'spindle-at-speed' not found".

It turns out that this line regarding the spindle was not commented out, and caused the problem:
sets spindle-at-speed true

Commenting it out solved the problem. If I recall, I think the configurator was recently updated to comment out spindle lines, it looks like perhaps one slid through the cracks.

I had the same issue a few days ago. I got rid of anything spindle related.

Same, but without reporting it, we can't fix it for the next guy who might not know how to fix it (as is the case with the guy I was helping). Good to know it wasn't just me though!

Damn, I thought I fixed that. I'll take a look later on...

EDIT: I wish you guys would read the PlasmaC manual and disable anything not plasma related... ;)

Haha! Read the manual. Funny guy

There’s a lot of info in there, it’s tough to retain it all. Ironically, I did pass the link along to the new guy though and told him to get reading lol.

If you mean the one before he ran configurator? I can get it, but it might be a day or two. He doesn’t go to his shop every day.

Yes, or the backup one created by the configurator in the new config directory

No problem, I can get it... it’ll just be a few days probably.

Here's the original HAL.

It looks like configurator.py only checks for any line that has "spindle.0." in it, and comments it out.

The extra one that needs to be commented out is "sets spindle-at-speed true" in the section below, which is the section right below all of the setup spindle control signals that have the "spindle.0." in them:
# ---Setup spindle at speed signals---

sets spindle-at-speed true
