First off thanks to all those who built and maintain this project.
I am running mint 19.2 with QTPlasmac..It cuts all files perfect, other then having to hit resume on each new "cut".

My problem is when running gcode my torch goes to the first pierce point, does it thing
(touches off fires, cuts,, turns off , raises and moves to next pierce point).
Here it touches off rises to fire height, pauses a sec. and returns home.
As soon as it reaches home i can click resume and it lowers and does it thing.
Next piece point same thing.
Its like it "pauses" on every cut cycle inside the gcode.
Any ideas on where i need to poke around to fix this? It's not a huge issue just annoying to have to hit the resume button all the time.
Would my air not cycling off during this cause this? By the time it has returned home the air has cycled off.

Are you geting any popup error/warning messages? If not then your Linux distros may not be showing these. Next time it pauses check in the Parameters Tab (or Settings Tab for a 4x3 GUI) and see if there is a message in the machine log. The machine log was added in QtPlasmaC V1.0.39 so you would need that version or later.

You will get a new log each time you restart the machine, the five previous logs are kept in the config directory and are plain text files.

So it appears i am running Linuxcnc v2.9.0-pre0-3879 which is a stretch build. My current QtPlasmaC is v1.0.32. My link says i am running the most current version but the repo hasnt been updated since 05/21. So i am lost on how to up it.

Edit: Can i upgrade from stretch to buster so i can get the latest release? I have mint 19.2 as my o/s and like it so really dont want to screw up the connection between linuxcnc and mint.

You should be able to just edit the "distribution" field in the repositories section of the synaptic package manager from "stretch" to "buster".  Then update as normal.

If you decide to give it a go, let me know if you run into any issues, it should be fairly pain free though. Any feedback is welcome.

I really like MX Linux, it feels light, and snappy.

Well i got MX Linux with Linuxcnc installed. Went pretty smooth, I had to use EPS? instead of MBR for my boot. Other then that no issues. Great instructions!
It was getting late havnt tried to run it yet, will fire it up tomorrow.

Edit: So it all works other then my old configs. Havnt quite figured out how to import them. Might just copy them over by hand to the new working set of configs. The new ones are in a different format then my old ones.
