Pierce Only Mode With Offsets

In response to a couple of posts in another thread,  #1  and  #2  we now have the ability to be able to offset the X and/or Y axes for Pierce Only mode.

We would appreciate some input from folk who do use Pierce Only mode for thick sheets as to whether these offset values would need to be changed very often and also what a sane default value would be. I have neither the material or the equipment to cut thick sheets.

Quoting a 1" job now. If I get the job, I'd be happy to test. How would I enable this and specify the offset amount?

We are hoping to finish testing and add it to master branch in a day or two, time zones make it a tad slow.

We have added a couple of parameter tab spin boxes for the offsets, the defaults currently are X0.06" Y0.00" or X1.6mm Y0.0mm and we are open to suggestions.

 

The feature for X/Y offsets in Pierce Only mode have been pushed to master branch.
 

Ha! I just pulled and built master yesterday and the spinbox controls aren't there so I must have been just a few hours early. I'll be glad to test for you but I'll wait a bit to build until the Conversational materials handling issue I just posted in the Run From Line thread is reviewed.

No worries, I did notice that I forgot to allow negative offsets, I will fix that as well.
