Could you post your .ini file? I would like to see the working version.
Thanks

Here's my .ini file. Note the path to the subroutines.

If you're still having issues with 4th axis jog speed (using screen buttons), see the thread here:
forum.linuxcnc.org/qtpyvcp/43904-solved-...-rotary-axis-jogging
That particular issue went away when I switched to a different branch in github Probe Basic (test_layouts), so a permanent fix is being developed.
But if you're still having the issue your branch, the above post is a decent work-around.

I had a debian 9, linuxcnc 2.8 and probe basic setup working great except for the jogging speed issue on my 4th axis. So I thought I would upgrade to get that fixed. But, I can't get probe basic working. I'm very new at linux and git.

from Flyer007:
Has anyone tried this with the Wildfire release? I am having some issues.
Also there are some steps in directions that seem off.
at cp ~/qtpyvcp/scripts/.xsessionrc ~/ I have to use full path for it to work
Then
mkdir ~/linuxcnc
mkdir ~/linuxcnc/configs
Error out as the directories are already there
Lastly;
git clone git://github.com/kcjengr/qtpyvcp.conversational-gcode.git
git checkout python3
you need a cd qtpyvcp.conversational-gcode before checkout
When I finish, I can start linuxcnc from terminal I don't see anything in the MX start menus for linuxcnc only QT designer
I was able to get PB sim to load once. I don't see any PB_Lathe in the linuxcnc selection list
figured out the menu item. Never did a RIP install. got it
So, I'm having the exact same situation. How do I get the LinuxCNC back into the MX Start menu? Thx!
