I know almost nothing about remap so you would have to supply me with the remap code you're using.

Thanks for answer.
I built 2.10 successfully on a RP4 but I don't dare to try on the router.
I will wait for the next update.

Do you need the name of the G code file or something else?

I assume you populated the QComboBox in the Python Module. You will have to add the QComboBox signal currentIndexChanged() to run the method you have to deal with the change.

Or I have no clue what you're asking?

Your PC has the wrong IP address of 10.10.10.10, it should be 10.10.10.11 or 10.10.10.111

So, it doesn't work.

To begin with, we had to solve the problems of inaccuracy of the installation description instructions. The downloaded attribute immediately after installation shows us v2.9.7 userspace. In order to install 2.9.2 rt you had to -

1. Overcome the distribution configuration error by removing the file stub for the raspberry -
forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...d-apt-problem#332403
sudo rm /etc/{initramfs/post-update.d/,kernel/{postinst.d/,postrm.d/}}z50-raspi-firmware

2.then you need to fix the first line of the file by adding 2.9-rt to its end
vi /etc/apt/sources.list.d/linuxcnc-uspace.list
deb [arch=amd64,arm64 signed-by=/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/linuxcnc.gpg.key.binary.gpg] www.linuxcnc.org/ bookworm base 2.9-uspace 2.9-rt

3. then you need to completely remove version 2.9.7
forum.linuxcnc.org/9-installing-linuxcnc...tall-rtai-got-errors
-
apt-get purge linuxcnc-uspace
apt-get purge linuxcnc-doc*

4. then you need to put the kernel (and only the kernel!)
wget www.linuxcnc.org/dists/bookworm/base/bin...ai-amd64-2_amd64.deb
dpkg -i linux-image-5.4.258-rtai-amd64_5.4.258-rtai-amd64-2_amd64.deb

5. This new kernel will now appear in boot options, you need to reboot the computer by selecting this particular kernel 5. And only now supply additional components -
wget www.linuxcnc.org/dists/bookworm/base/bin...xcnc-delta_amd64.deb
dpkg -i rtai-modules-5.4.258_5.3.3-linuxcnc-delta_amd64.deb

Now you can apt-get update + apt-get update

A running real-time kernel will always show 100% CPU load and does not need a swap. latensy-test starts and shows normal numbers.

An attempt to start the existing machine configuration leads to a system crash and reboot. Okay, stepconf and I create a new configuration, extremely simple. I launch it and also get a reboot.

Debug file information:
/usr/bin/linuxcnc: line 977:913 Segmentation error $EMCDISPLAY -ini "$INIFILE" $EMCDISPLAYARGS $EXTRA_ARGS
/usr/bin/milltask exiting

How to overcome this problem?
A discussion of the problem has been initiated here, but there is no solution

That looks like it should work, although it's a bit odd because it looks like a
fairly old version of LinuxCNC (before the changes to support multiple spindles)

I would next check the PWM value and enable pins in halshow when you expect
the spindle to be running and say set for 1/2 full speed:

hm2_7i95.0.pwmgen.00.enable
hm2_7i95.0.pwmgen.00.value

The error shows a basic communication issue.

1. Is the 7I95T jumpered for a 10.10.10.10 IP address

2. What does the command:

ip a

(typed in a terminal window) return?

You can typically not bother with diodes if you don't need to press more than one button at a time.

Buster.

Buster is a long way out of support now (end of life was June 2024).
It sounds like you are running with RTAI, which does work on Bookworm (I run it much of the time)

While I’m trying to put v2.9.4 on the free partition and even with this there are problems - in the instructions
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/getting-start...#cha:Installing-RTAI
the required repository is specified with an error, the kernel itself is installed with errors, and For several years now they have forgotten to indicate in the instructions what to do first -

apt-get purge linuxcnc-uspace
apt-get purge linuxcnc-doc*

and then more
apt-get install linuxcnc

Well the "they" above is to a large extent me.
You _probably_ don't need to purge the docs packages.
I have updated the instructions, but it will take a while for the updates to find their way to the web server.

rewatching rotary-smp's video on his schaublin panel I think I see my issue. I had wired the diodes for sourcing current but he mentions that it is sinking current so I need to flip my inputs and outputs to fix that like he had to in his video. I did try to bypass one buttons diode with no luck but perhaps swapping all of the around will solve this

Setting up a Mesa 7i95T was created by Ringardy
Hi,
i am currently trying to setup my Mesa 7i95T but so far i hit a wall.
Problem is even after following a video to set it up via pncconf using the 7i76e, i get no working results.
The video i am reffering to :

Check the images to what im reffering to.

Perhaps there are files out for the 7i95T.

And yes i did check the forum and tried to update the pncconf but it wont let me.

Kind regrads
Ringardy
