On many stages I am still a beginner, but with the third retrofit comes some experience and confidence. Still struggling with python I don't really know why.

Today I finished the IO's, now only the encoders are missing. And I need to clean and wired the 24V circuit.
And I want to add a main voltage monitoring relay, cause I can switch control and three phase separately. And I want to get an information when I power on linuxcnc and don't have main power on. This will be used after I finished testing.
Looks almost clean now.

FYI, all mesa boards with VFIELD have monitoring for it, i had it shown on a VCP panel on all my retrofits.

The 24v are not the issue, but good to know. I am manually switching 400V main power separate from the control power. I just want to see if main power is on.
I usually have main power off while making changes on the vcp. This way I can test most of the functions without it actually moving

A relay wired to Mesa inputs will be enough to show if the power is on or off.
Using one of the 4 analog inputs in mode 1 is also an option to get a rough voltage shown but will require more stuff to isolate from 400V rail, or a THCAD to have the exact voltage shown! :)

Thanks, I found a relay used to emergency lighting, it will change if one or more of the phases will fail. It's fairly priced and was quickly delivered I'll give it a try.

Getting closer…

The glass scales need to be wired and the 24v from the terminal block to the Mesa boards.

I can prove you wrong :D!

just finished wiring everything up.

then started the control circuit for testing, only to figure out, I installed 12V Power supply instead of a 24V :D

But Computer and Mesa Boards are running now, and I can start to configure linuxcnc while I am waiting to the power supply

Setting up hal per remote connection is a lot more comfortable than standing in the workshop.

and when walking trough the shop you can have a look at the VCP.
This machine will be awesome once it's finished

I've written a user space feedback for the front panel.
every button hat a back light, which I can switch and a four digit segment display.
First test with 0.1 Hz refresh rate. so its easy to have a look at it in hal show. later it will run with a 50 hz refresh rate.
