Is the Y-axis connected to the analog1 output on the 7i77? The enable signal is the same for all of the 7i77's analog outputs (except the 6th one.)

Post what you have in the test.hal file for the Y. (The whole file.)

Todd, Thank you for your help. I am not shore what has happen, but this is the error messages and pic of the "test" and the lines in the file. I have the line edited as per your suggestion, but the motor does not seem to get the signal.
Tomorrow, unless I have other suggestions I plan to start with your original .zip file, and just temporarily swap the motor and drive and use as it worked on the "x" axes. So physically change the location of drive, (keeping drive and motor as a matched set) is only change and leave all else alone, so it does not matter.
Many thanks!

There is only one siggen loaded so that should still say siggen.0.

I do see some possibly unnecessary stuff that references the X-axis.
All of the "setp hm2_5i25.0.encoder.00" lines refer to setting up HM2 parameters for the 1st encoder channel. But I don't think that is pertinant since we aren't really using any encoder for the testing. You could change those lines to "setp hm2_5i25.0.encoder.01". Or you probably could simply delete them.

It is more likely the key lies with the error message you gave. That is pertaining to the user interface. It sounds like maybe something didn't unload or get closed properly once. You may need to reboot the computer to reset every thing before you try again.

Todd, Many thanks! Today when I started I deleted the files in the "test" folder under the configs dir, and recopied the files from desktop folder of original files. Attached are the pic of the error in "terminal" and a pic of the files in the test.hal folder. I used the "#" to rem out (I think is the term) to reflect your suggestion as per post# 22 Aug 2022 19:27 #250223. I also could be very wrong, please suggest a way forward.

Many thanks!!

You forgot to change the "ddf" on line 10 to "addf"

Todd, thank you. After the edit "addf" the "x" axes motor vibrated ok & so I edit this line: "y-output <= siggen.0.square => hm2_5i25.0.7i77.0.1.analogout1" (with hope) but I am not able to get the "y" axes to vibrate, yet. I am at a loss. Attached is the error.
Many thanks!

I don't see any "errors" listed there.

Do you have the Y drive control pins connected to the correct terminals on the 7i77? It should be the 2nd analog plug next to the one you used for the X motor.

Should be:
7i77 TB5 Pin#     AMC P1 Pin#
   6 ENA1+   =>      9 ENABLE
   7 GND     =>      5 -REF IN
   8 AOUT1   =>      4 +REF IN
   9 ENA2-   =>      11 GND

Todd, Thanks! The last line in your most recent post reads " 9 ENA2- => 11GND; should it read "9 ENA1- => 11GND" ??
As per my diagram on the 1st page of this post (link:  06 Dec 2021 15:22 - 13 Jun 2022 18:25 #228440 ) is not wire going from 9 ENA1 to 11 GND. Diagram shows GND (TB5-3 or 7) going to -REF IN (Pin 5 on A-M-C) P1 connector.
Many thanks!

Oops, A copy and paste error. I was copying it from the 7i77 manual and grabbed the wrong lines. I was one set of lines too far down the list it should have been. (And the Ground pins #2 and #11 I'm pretty sure are the same.)
7i77 TB5 Pin#     AMC P1 Pin#
   5 ENA1-    =>    2 GND (or 11 they are connected)
   6 ENA1+    =>    9 ENABLE
   7 GND      =>    5 -REF IN
   8 AOUT1    =>    4 +REF IN
