Hello guys,
I have this motherboard here right now out of the box - going to be using some Mesa cards with it and the idea is a linux only install on a 32Gb SSD...
How did you install Ubuntu/EMC on it without a CD drive ? I've heard it can be done via a USB stick, but a google search is a bit messy on this topic - any links or instructions (for an inept mac user) for a known solution would be great

Thanks for your research on this, the D510 looks like it might be a good way to go but I am confused about whether I can use one PCI slot or if I need more.
Reading the other thread in the CNC Machines section about the MV35/40 retrofit, I saw there was some grouping of Mesa cards that would work for one slot but there were some conditions about base threading that I don't understand yet.
I am planing a retrofit for an Mori Seiki MVJR servo driven CNC Mill. Presently 3 axis with tool changer but it has servos for 5 axis, not sure if I will ever use them or not.
Thanks for any advice.
