Looks ok so far, test with
latency-histogram --nobase --sbinsize 1000 --show
If you do not need software stepping/parallel port, and watch youtube and copy some files around while that is running.

Stop worrying, start making chips. Or at least running wires.

That looks like a really nice lathe. How far will you need to strip down the mechanical bits? How is the wear? Look forward to seeing under it's skirt.

Its not a bad looking lathe, from what i can tell it cut mostly plastic and a lil aluminum. The guy i got it from said they changed the z ball screw but he also told me that if i powered it up i can see the alarms, but he was full of shit lol. He was pretty dishonest lol but what can i expect i bought it at a auction sight unseen.
I still need to get a chuck but i wanna wait til i get it moving before i do, im picking up a 3phase generator next week so i may be able to move the axis with a small battery mabe

Might be worth looking at whether it can run off single phase. The servo drives convert to DC internally (and then back to AC) so they don't care.
It might take a bit of analysis to work out what the input stages are, but you might find a separate 3-phase input transformer and rectifier stage that will just work happily on single phase.
