I can't interchange the motors, as the other two are cards on 3trm2 are rated for 200v and this motor can take only 170 volts.

Thanks a lot for your valuable support guys. I don't know if it was indramat 3trm2 or the motor. For now, i changed the motor along with another 1trm2 drive. And now the problem is gone. I'll try to find the problem later and will update you guys. For now i gotta get my maho running. Tuning the axes now. Any suggestions on using linear Encoder index for homing? (ls403 linear Encoder)

I used heidenhain 602 exe 5d boards for my ls403 linear scales. They seem to work pretty well.

Now I'm trying to figure out the automatic gear change of my maho mill. The gearbox is similar to rotarysmp's 400E maho. The only difference is in the feedback switches. There are total 15 switches (5 on each stage) but only 3 are wired with the maho relay board. How can i alter the hal file for the gearbox. I'll be waiting for your reply @henk @RotarySMP

there should be only 4 switches wired...

the fourth switch 1154,1158,11512 is used for reduction of the speed of the gearswitch motors. If you want to get the center position of the gearstage, you have to enable 11K3. there exists an longer cam on the camshaft about the middle position, this reduces the motors speed and force to give you the ability to lock in the center pos and not to overshoot it.

Hmm, on your transmission the left-middle switch is not used (number 5).
What kind of transmission is this? how many stages, start and end rpm?
Which original control has been mounted?

That sounds right to me. But I'm attaching the rotarysmp's wire connection diagram of the switches. The confusing parts are 11S5, 11S10 and 11S15. These are the switches that makes it confusing. Can you explain it to me? I mean me and rotary smp have the exact same gearboxes yet mine is wired with 3 less switches than him. Would it be ok if i directly use his hal files and test the spindle gearbox?

It's a 18 speed gearbox. I am attaching the pics from the manual. 8 stages, min rpm 50 max rpm 2500. The original control was cnc 332. Now i am using 6i25-7i77-7i84 combination such as rotary smp.

this diagramm show the "left-center" switches, 1155,11510,11515 .
Related on this switches the control knows in which direction the motor has to turn to reach the center pos. If you turn in the false direction inside the gearbox the claws can get damaged. This switch is an historical artefact from controllers stone-age... My Mh700 has the same gearbox, build in 1979 the controlling has been done with relais and time relais. in todays control you have memory to save the actual position of the gearstages, so this switch is not needed anymore....

I don't know if marks component does work without using this switch, my component use it and would need an code change....
