Do you think the pitting will quickly eat up the turcite?
Pits shouldn't be a problem at all. (you can re-name them "oil reservoirs"). The danger is burrs and high spots.
I would say that if you can slide a block of aluminium along the oiled ways without scratches or damage, then the Turcite will be happy too.
