OK I did that.
I attached the text as it was in the terminal (terminal.txt)
because there was some message that looked important.
an all.txt.

well this is weird:
insmod: error inserting '/usr/realtime-2.6.32-122-rtai/modules/linuxcnc/hm2_pci.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module
This indicates to me that something basic is broken in the PC/LinuxCNC installation

Thanks for all of your help.
I have a solid state drive, I have heard that sometimes they get corrupted.
I will try to reinstall my current version of Linux CNC.first (assuming it is still available)
I hope the old version is still available because I tried to update to a newer version of Linux and LINUX/CNC about a year ago and the upgrade involved more problems that I was able to handle.
I would like to upgrade though, maybe I will try to build up the courage to try again.

which error?
the "unknown symbol in module" is very different from the missing 7I64 pin

The page that comes up when I tried to run LINUX CNC, I can run the other command and see what happens.
I was thinking that using the different hard drive would eliminate the linux and Linux CNC install.

Yeah, it should eliminate any file corruption issues but not PC-hardware/5I23/7I44/7I64 issues
Its still not clear to me what the real problem is since both 7I64s were detected, maybe PC/5i23

I ran both sets of commands that you told me about.
The all.txt file is empty.
I included all of the files most recently created.

That looks like the
halcmd loadrt hm2_pci config="firmware=hm2/5i23/SVSS6_8.BIT sserial_port_0=00000000"
^^^^^^^ This has to be all one line ^^^^^^^
command did not work at all
halcmd loadrt hm2_pci config="firmware=hm2/5i23/SVSS6_8.BIT sserial_port_0=00000000"
