I am giving up on the China Blue controller board. Maybe I can get some input for what I should buy.
Money is tight . This is what I ma looking at Will this work for me

There is this but I am not sure if it needs more parts or is it a complete breakout and driver
Also not sure I can assemble it. HobbyCNC PRO Chopper Driver Board Kit

I need to know it will work with Linuxcnc. I have become used to this software and the help.

There is also buildityouelcnc but they need 4 weeks lead time.

If money is tight I would not give up on the TB6560 board, they are known to work usually unless you have blown it up. cncbasher is quite good with them.

You need to work through the problems in a logical order. Does it smell? If not get the drive to enable and go from there.

I click the red button. the motors are making a noise
I hit the power button the motors stop making noise and the run pause and home buttons become active.]

As cncbasher pointed out this sounds like an enable problem, perhaps the enable signal needs to be inverted.
