Hi Peter,
Thanks,
I got this configuration running once, but couldn't get it running again. It gives Comunication errors,
also gives error 3, 4, 8, 13&14
I'm going to send another post soon, to show another one that I have tried, but this is the only one configuration that I got working once for about 5 minutes.
I'm trying this on my laptop, and the latency on this machine is very bad. I'm now going to load it on another pc with a much better latency... just to try.

This is where I tried what you suggested, but the green led on the 7i77 cr15, only flashes about two times, then presents communication errors

What cable do you have between the 7I92 and the 7I77?
Longer flat cables or non-IEEEI1284 round cables will cause trouble
Marginal 5V power at the 7I77 can cause these issues also
I do have improved firmware with more resistance to cable signal integrity problems
( 26 pin flat cables especially have issues) and should have the 7I92 bit files available soon

Hi Peter.
I have a IEEE-1284 compliant cable - supplied by Mesa.
We misunderstood that the OS needs to be booted into RT as well as the LinuxCNC. (Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 3.2.0-4-rt-686-pae)
Once we booted into the real time OS the system started to work with no errors at all.
Attached are my working hal and ini files.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi... This is just as note to self, and hope it helps everyone out there... (I waste time everytime I do a setup, because I didn't documented what I did last time.)
Remember to boot in rt, and not rtai. (debian wheezy)
sudo mesaflash --device 7i92 --addr 10.10.10.10 --write 7i92_7i77x2.bit
after that, I'm supposed to say something like: sudo mesaflash --device 7i92 --reload ... But I suppose I'm doing it wrong... it didn't work. so, I just do the power cycle. it also works, but if someone can please just help me with the --reload line, I'll appreciate it.
All on track, and ready to start playing.
For those wanting config files, check previous topics of mine.

Hi Peter,
Hope you are well,
I have to complement you on the 7i92, awesome product, and I was very surprised the other day, as I got a current overload alarm on the 7i77. It was the first time that I experienced this, although I read about it, ...
When we used to use the 6i25, we used the ethernet port for internet, for teamviewer, so that we could remote into the machines, but now we face a challenge with the 7i92. Can you please help us with some ideas how to get internet on the machine? We have tried usb wireless dongle, which works perfectly seperately, but we cant work both usb wireless and 7i92 at the same time.
Any suggestions?
