Gantry machine progress

i now that procedure but since loading file is something that is done several times i wonder if it can be done more
quickly

i try to disable the screensaver from the settings menu
i make all the needed settings
when i first open the PC after some time the display turn black
then i open the screensaver menu and i close it (not changing any settings)
and the display stays on for all the day
is this normal?

Suggestions for updates
after 3 months of questions and answers i finally start to work the machine:woohoo:
so my next question is since the machine is working sud i connect to the internet and update the linux gantry
or leave it as it is since it is working nice:whistle: and move on

i use 2.8.0-pre1-3308-g510ela9
i facing another problem
i have noticed that in a z axis plunge with plunge speed f 30 followed by a next feed rate of f 800
the motion in z starts with f 30 but before end the z axis move it increasing speed at 800
if z axis move is 7 mm i estimate that the first 4 mm travel with f 30 and the last 3 mm with f 800
i think that has something to do with blending the moves but in this case is wrong
any suggestions?

Could you post an example of the porblem g-code, (including the G64 settings)
