I tried the netmask set to 24 but same ip a output as above.  no board  7i92 ....... is also with mesaflash. ip a sets it automatically to/8.

ping 10.10.10.10 works but

mesaflash --device 7i92 --addr10.10.10.10 --readhmid

returns

No 7I92 board found

yes sir so is it. But from the begin of this thread is it so, even with ADR 10.10.10.10, 10.10.10.11  . The netmask is automatically set. Is the GNom IDE from Synaptik others then the Download version ?

If the PC address is 10.10.10.10, ping will work even if no 7I92 is connected.
(the PC is pinging itself)

What does

mesaflash --device ethernet --addr10.10.10.10 --readhmid

report?

What do the 7I92 LEDs do when you ping the card?

With ping or without ping the left LED in Front to ethernet jack is slow flashing and the LED on board are counting in 4 bit hex format up until new. With addr the readhmid now works fine that is new. Thank you a lot now is light in the tunnel.

I disconnect the ethernet jack from the board and ping the card. The answer is: " no network reachable"
