On some of my machines (including my main development VM) python2 is the default and it causes no problems at all with LinuxCNC using python3.

I hate it when people say that have no problems when I face a showstopper!

I tried MX and couldnt get wifi kernel module to work properly.

Ah ok, thats the part I missed somewhere :)

It’s funny, the WiFi on the Debian 10 iso doesn’t work consistently for me. On mx it works perfect. Then for others mx Linux wifi doesn’t work but Debian 10 iso it does. Linux is lame like that sometimes haha.

I think I gave up to easy. but, It is a QTvcp issue that is using some python2 handler or code that python 3 breaks and QTplasmac uses.
So, I don't have any idea where to look....lol It will eventually have to be figured out or else QTplasmaC will have a python 2 version and a python3 version.

QtPlasmaC should not be using any python2 specific code. If you do happen to see a particular QtPlasmaC issue that looks like it is python2 related please report it so we can fix it.
