Your pin names look weird to me. I have a 7i76e and my input pins look like this:
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-10-not
I think you might be looking at the wrong pins.

I am running Linuxcnc 2.9 if that makes a difference...
But to make sure I'm going to the right place...
With Linuxcnc open
Machine
Show Hal configuration (new window pops up)
select "watch" on the left pane
select "pins" on the left pane
select "hm2_7i76e"
select "0"
select "gpio"
Select pins to view (ie. 003,004.....)
Edit* "watch" is on the right pane

Hm, that seems odd to me. Maybe the wrong bit file in the FPGA as you have none of the usual pins like 'spindle' or 'encoder'
This would better be answered by PCW.

Tried to update the .bit file on the FPGA and tried to use a 7i76e configuration tool I found. Had to force install using terminal with instructions I found from PCW on another post. When I try to verify it, it either crashes or says "cannot find usr/lib/lib/7i76e/7i76eXXX.bit". The bit files are extracted in a folder under "home". I am wondering if my .bit files are not loaded in the computer in the proper directory. I can't seem to find any info on exactly where they belong.

1. There is no need to change the firmware on the 7I76E
2. The lack of displayed 7I76 pins likely indicates that field power
is not applied or some other issue like W1 in the right hand position,
W8 in the right hand position, sserial disabled in hal etc

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! My jumper wire from TB1 pin 5 to TB3 pin 22 was broken. Possibly from all my bending, poking, and prodding. Now, its time to change out my solid power wires for stranded so I hopefully dont have this problem again.
Thank you everyone for your assistance!! Your help is much appreciated!

Well, it seems i had 2 issues...
The first was the broken wire...
However, Homing still does not work and looking at my hal file, it still references the gpio on external inputs, which is not recognized by Linuxcnc. I tried to change the board options and firmware on Pncconf, but the only one it allows me to use is "7I76e-internal data" for the board name, and 7i76e for the firmware. I still feel like i dont have the correct files loaded in the correct spot in my computer. Any help is much appreciated!
