So i was watching the pid.x.output in halshow and it pretty quickly ramps up to 10 in an effort to correct the position error.But... I am showing only 10-12 mV coming from the card to the drive.

Did you try with the drive disconnected?
That is measure TB3 pin 4 (AOUT0) relative to TB3 pin 3 (GND)
with the 4 pin connector unplugged.

OK if you have a significant PWM channel 0 value number, PWM channel 0 is enabled
and there is no watchdog fault, that does point to a hardware issue. Its just very odd
because of the way the offset PWM works, any kind of hardware issue tends to result
is output stuck at some multiple volt output level, not 0V.

Can you make a new basic config, with just PWM's and encoders and test again.
I recall a few years back i made a config that absolutely did not put anything on analog outs, wasted an hour looking through hal, could not find it, made a new config and it worked, never had the same issue before or after that.
Another thing to check is the Mesa supply voltage, the 5V side, if 7i97T uses 5V, many of 5V power supplies are really bad, but that would also trigger lost connection, not always, though, so worth checking.

I like the way you think my friend, I've tried that several times already with the same result. I have a Meanwell power supply that i fine tuned with my Fluke to exactly 5V I really think i have a bad card. I have never not once been able to get any actual motion control out of this thing. Now i need to navigate the seemingly unreachable Mesa company and see if they can help me. I e-mailed them a couple of days ago with no responce. Looks like this is going to drag on into eternity.

So i received the card back with no reported problems but i still cant get any output to my drives. I completely reinstalled Linuxcnc, Mesa flash and Mesa CT with the same results. I'm at a total loss with this thing.. I tried to use the Pncconf wizard but it doesn't support the card I bought. Would i be better off sending this on back and getting some of the older ones that are a little more user friendly?
