LinuxCNC 3.4.6? I don't recognise that version number. 2.4.6 exists (but is very, very, old). The latest released version is 2.9.4

Anyway, the macros all work in feed-per-rev mode, so rely on a spindle encoder existing and being properly configured. Do you have a spindle encoder?
(It would be a simple case of editing the various .ngc files to operate in units/second mode, if not)

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, it's 2.9.4. I don't know how to get to 3.4.6.
I'm still waiting for the timing belt that connects the spindle to the encoder.
So that could be the reason.

Thank you very much.

@andypugh I am updating probe basic lathe conversational section which someone was awesome enough to give me a head start on and it is using your macros and artwork, but looks a bit behind your latest versions. i saw some links to fusion artwork but tells me i am unauthorized when i click the link on the fusion page. are the fusion files available elsewhere? or do i need to be added to the group/project to have access?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Chris

Most of the stuff is in Github: github.com/andypugh/LatheMacros
The images are all in the .svg file as different layers.
The fusion 360 models that the SVG files came from might have moved with a change in how Autodesk store data.
The various models are here:
a360.co/43OnIFj
I made the SVG layers by creating a shaded isometric drawing of each component then exporting the drawing to SVG.
