Seems you have a typo in your hal file
When you use stepconf wizard and you want to continue to edit your configuration with stepconf then place changes in the custom or postgui hal files. Once you get past the basic config there is no reason to use stepconf wizard usually.

ma-machine.hal:1: Unknown command 'nope'

A typo is a word that is not spelled correctly. In your case you have the word "nope" somewhere in your hal file and "nope" is not a valid command.
This is from your error.txt file
so in the file ma-machine.hal on line 1 you have the word "nope".

What happens in that case is that a change in direction is seen as a step pulse, and the motor moves one step. It sees the direction command changing rapidly (as that is connected to the step pulses) but that has no effect.

This may indicate that the step and direction pins are reversed. When i test in stepconf i ear à little click in bordercard for every axis.'

"ma-machine.hal:1: Unknown command ''"
So, there is still something on that line. Possibly just a space, though it is more likely to be a problem with DOS-style line-endings. Which editor did you use?

Try editing the original file using gedit on the Linux machine.

I think he may have accidentally typed into the file rather than a chat window or similar.the hal file has been send by cncbascher
This may be the problem. Windows programs tend to interfere with line endings.and i open it with bloc note or wordpad,
