Not quite rod, it's hidden in the disk management part of windows.
www.hdd-tool.com/windows-10/how-to-resize-partition.html
Or you can use gpated to resize disk partitions.
The problem with the fancy utils such as Old Mate used is that they are looking for initrd.lz in the image (the image is actually mounted and files copied rather than raw bytes written) where as this particular instance the initrd is named initrd.gz, hence it fails.

Just as a note that might help someone else, the computer I set up yesterday was not the one I intend to use on my cnc. Last night I setup the one I use and same problem, got message at boot that the rt kernel had an invalid signature. Did a little research and found that the bios might have secure boot enabled. It did and I disabled it and it booted right up. Learned a lot yesterday!

My wifi usb adapter was working before I changed to the rt kernel. lsusb shows that it is there. lsusb is about the only terminal command I know. Do you know how to get it working?

I took the link down, I got so frustrated with people not following the instructions I gave.
I'm trying "Anger Management"
I'm going to try adding the files needed for running qtvcp examples and then sort out what is missing for the designer files.
I've done some initial testing but really need to work out what is and what isn't needed from the QyPyVCP file deps for qtvcp.
Depending on how big the iso ends up I may remove libre office to keep the size down.
I'll update the progess on the users mailing list.
Once again thanks for your help, feedback is great.

I wouldn't mind giving your ISO a try on a VmWare vm.
All I needed to add to Devuan ISO for running QtVCP sims were:
python-pyqt5 python-pyqt5.qsci python.pyqt5.qtopengl python-pyqt5.qtsvg python-opengl python-opencv espeak python-dbus.mainloop.pyqt
I couldnt apply espeak-ng-espeak and wasn't to concerned
And for running Designer I just followed github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/tree/master...ython/qtvcp/designer

iso

md5
drive.google.com/file/d/1rx9VWub9qvvXxrm...XA9/view?usp=sharing
The image has to be written as a raw image to a usb stick. Either dd in linux or win32diskimager under windows.

Thanks Rob, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
My ISO ended up at 3.2 Gb with all the LinuxCNC and QtVCP stuff.

I've had a few issues setting up designer, I had to install the deps from qtpyvcp, now I just need to work out which ones are really needed.
