Parts turned up on Friday and my homing lab is slowly taking shape. I just have to bolt the linear guide down.

 

I have a rtelligent closed loop ethercat stepper to mount up to this.
Then testing the custom homing module

I think he already has

CPU Affinity and DKMS are two possible fixes. I describe them here:

Hello Everyone, 
I have my 3 axis milling machine running on LinuxCNC but I would like to use Probe Basic. My question is can I put Probe Basic on my milling machine computer without screwing up what I have working now?

Yeah... sorry but had flooding on both shops several days back, so for now out of commission cleaning everything.

i'm still getting the hm2/hm2_7i96s.0: error finishing read iter=32571. it seems the joint following error did NOT come up this time.

Time to work on stuff like this gets us all! I really like your foldaway keyboard hinges, and the whole project looks great. I have two machines to finish up, a big '90's Taiwanese bed mill that just needs the control panel built, and a lathe conversion that needs all of the control work done. I plan to use your hinge design, and the same keyboard, thanks!

I have installed the latest LCNC 2.9 ISO.

If you are using linuxcnc 2.9, I'm not sure they will work.
In linuxcnc 2.10 (master version), they are included.

What version are you using?

Apparently, I had an error in my ini file, which is all fixed now and downloaded 2.1.4 version

a easy method on posts if you are new to fusions post files, its all in Java so its pritty easy to find and edit things. plus you can code some nifty tricks inside the post too

for a mill turn, when i was looking into it i found the post for a nakamuura mill turn was pritty well done in fusion so is a very good start point. has a nice turrent switch over for multiu turret, multi spindle too and much more you would need ona mill turn

for a nifty trick you can use visual stuio with a free addon,
when you post any code from a program pick the option post direct to visual studio and it will let you see the post code file along side the Gcode so you can find any Gcode section in the post and edit and check. it will also cut down the Gcode it will post out if you have a long operation like surfacing so can check complex operations with ease.

I was researching the same topic before and asked some questions, which nobody knew the answer unfortunately.
Based on my research, the GLCanon python files are in the folder "/lib/python/rs274/glcanon.py"

The basic idea is that you extend this class and you class have certain methods, that are called on each gcode line, like: comment, straight traverse, etc.
I'd also interested in developing a new visualizer, that can be used in a more flexible way, e. g. json output, etc.
