probe basic - toolpath/file preview loading error

Is there a reason why to not install SSH Server?
I usually install it and actually use it for any config or GCode edits using Visual Studio Code editors ssh function.

Using LinuxCNC Bookworm. Have downloaded file from packages.debian.org/sid/python3-distro. Not sure what to do with it.
Also tried adding linuxmint to Synaptic repositories. Not doing it correctly.
Some guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks.

What are you trying to do? Mesact is not in debian packages.

Gould Gettys Servo Amplifier Drifting User Guide

Category: Driver Boards

Hello Mates,
my milling machine is based on 3 N360 / A121 (I guess) servo amplifiers from gould. I believe they need a little adjustment to reduce drift (about 12 to 16V whe 0V at analog in). Thing is I can not find their manuals anywhere! Gould gettys has been dissolved, their tech support could no care less about my request. There is a guy selling one manual on ebay, but he will not ship to Brazil. Can anyone help?

Greetings!

I just added the dynamic properties section to the docs and put links to it where dynamic properties are mentioned

Wow a stmbl v5, didn't know that was happening. Think I've been waiting 5 years or better to see that.

I would like to, but it tells me that they are to big. Even at like 200 kB. The error message says they can be up to 1.6 MB

OK yeah, that's the part that was missing from the first video. Youtube embeds don't work well on my end so I missed it in the 2nd

I see some of the other controls items have dynamic properties so it might be mentioned elsewhere in the docs but I didn't see any mention of it while just progressing through.

Edit: I see it in "Step by Step" gnipsel.com/linuxcnc/flexgui/hal.html#step-by-step

Building and configuring a stmbl v5

Category: Driver Boards

Hi,

in the following topic I want to document the process of building and configuring a stmbl v5 servo drive. Since I found it a bit hard to get started and reading through the documentation, I will try to explain my process step by step so others can follow.

But first I wand to thank freak for designing the v5 and bringing the project back to life. Also thanks to Rene and all other contributors.

I got two Mitsubishi RV-4FLM robots without a controller, so I need 12 drives. I decided to build them my self, because I wanted to get a bit back into electronics and also save some money. You can also buy drives form freak (contact is on the github page). The price he asks is very reasonable and I wouldn't recommend building the drives yourself if you don't have a fair amount of experience with electronics. So if you only need a few drives, please support freak. Before I get questions about it, I also want to clarify, that I will not sell drives as long as they are available from the project maintainers.

So lets get started:
I ordered 15 PCBs with almost all SMD components assembled from JLCPCB. I did solder some inductors by hand, because I couldn't easily find a exact match in the jcpcb parts catalog. While doable, I would recommend against it, the layout is just not made for hand soldering. I'm still waiting for some connectors to arrive, so I only have pictures of half completed boards.

That section only shows up after you select the button then press the green plus symbol and add a dynamic property.

Calculating step length/space timings for Delta B3 servo drives

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

At 4000 steps/mm *133.33 mm/s (8000 mm/m) the step rate is ~533 KHz.
so your 700 ns step length and 700 ns step space are fine as these limit
the maximum step rate to ~714 Khz   = 1/(steplength+stepspace)

The drives maximum step rate in step/dir mode is 4M steps per second,
which means ~125 ns minimum step space and step length so you have plenty
of margin. The setup and hold times are relatively unimportant as long as they are
long enough (they do not affect performance)

Note that all this assumes differential (line driver) wiring not open collector.
