Is it any easier to comprehend than Vismach? I find using Vismach rather confusing (and I wrote the docs!)

I did something a bit like this using resolvers (with the difference being that resolvers are single-turn absolute)

You probably need a realtime HAL component (or set of standard components) that zeros the absolute portion of your adder when the index is seen. This is because of the way that the joint position feedback is used in the home offset calcuations.

Which user interface are you using? And which version of LinuxCNC?

#### generally means that the parameter doesn't exist, but that doesn't make any sense for #5181.

You are typing (debug, #5081) not (for example) (debug, #<5081>) ?

ich habe mit einem usb linuxcnc live den rechner gestartet.

dann linuxcnc damit neu installiert. mbr wurde auf der entsprechenden festplatte

neu installiert. nach fertigstellung, neu gestartet. mein Linuxcnc und die maschine laufen wieder.

Okey, are you referring to make custom firmware/component for FPGA for UART + quadrature encoder logic or referring to hal component?

You would need the Xilinx tool chain (Webpack 14.7)  for a 7I92, 7I92H, 7I92M

Please don't post the same questions in different threads.

CT identifies it as Mesa 7I92 and suggests corresponding files for upload.
I uploaded several files to it as a test. It works fine.
Test assembled on the table CNC program moves the motor + outputs and inputs work.
