Simple one.... how to eleminate "Do you really want to close LinuxCNC?"

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

In axis?
linuxcnc.org/docs/stable/html/gui/axis.h...ble_the_close_dialog

 I'm not a software guy....
To use this, do I simply add the root_window..... to a particular file, or do I need to tweak the source code and then compile?
I'm up for the former, no clue if I need to re-compile.14.2. Disable the Close Dialog# disable the do you want to close dialog
root_window.tk.call("wm","protocol",".","WM_DELETE_WINDOW","destroy .")

LinuxCNC for lathe questions

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

You've probably figured it out by now, but just in case, the machine type is defined in the .INI config file in the display param.
e.g.
[DISPLAY]
LATHE = 1

Although documented somehow-somewhere, I think the fastest way to learn all that init wizardry would be to borrow the Axis Lathe SIM from the Sim dropdown/menu and spy into those configs. That should be sufficient to get you started. For the machine-specific configs, shall you need, do shout out anytime and I'll see if I can share some of mine

It's a program to build glade user interfaces. If you don't want to install it just post the file here and I'll try to update it for you.

Attached the ui file, please help to update. Also, after running linuxcnc -l in terminal, the error message is as in attachment

ESP32/S2/S3 LinuxCNC Controller (6 axis hardware step gen), USB plug-and-play

Category: Computers and Hardware

Had the same issue, so it was easier to resolder the pins, but still did not work.
Had no time to test anymore, it is sitting on my desk here for quite some time, but i think i might give it a go these days.

Doubt this will be reliable, Tommy. Sure, prolly be spinning a motor on the benchtop and comm for 10~20min but most likely be failing more often than not. E.g. zero timing critical pthread/mutex//locks/semaphores/gives/takes nothing at all. Could get away without it in a parallel compute domain but in this case, it's all serialized runtime (locks/integrity mandatory).

Wouldn't be surprised this is the reason Wez abandoned the extra efforts that it needed.

Hello!!
I have implemented linear ATC. But what limits I have to set so that when file is running machine will not travel the area where Tools are planted. Machine only allows when MDI command for tool change has been given. How to set different working limits? What changes in .ini required?

Could you leave a copy of the nvmpg cpp on your github? I'm thinking about creating my own mpg but only with buttons and I would like to study the programming that was used in it to be the starting point.
