Back to pncconf ,got P1(09) +P2(04) both on their respective
pin 17 , oops , niet, no go,
it wont generate 2 charge pump ,
let's edit hal , stepgen.09 to .04 ,
success !!! charge pump + xyz movement !

old sl bob got partial opensource reviving ,
7i92_slpc2x2d.bit file work .
That's it for today , pid/velocity setting are to setup
correctly + soft limit + eventualy limit switches and
second charge pump + later may i test encoder with steppers
(which always been speed limiting & finicky to use )
+ arm64 sbc test.

Before yesterday I can use Pendant for jog XYZ and x1 x10 x100 step excellent to work (7i73 MESA)
I have a problem yesterday I use GMOCCAPY  start up good and "before" home machine I can use pendant for jog .
After Home XYZ done screen DRO will change green color and then I can't use pendant, If want for pendant I will click Icon UNHOME it's will back to use pendanr again , WHY ?
I'm not sure this problem come from I use sudo apt update and upgrade yesterday .

I try check After HOMED , Open halshow and try use pendant handwheel roller Encoder can show number change with wheel rotation.
I try use knob select X Y Z axis its show select active LED yellow and correct.
Have any Idea for me check ?

Hi all, I know this has been aske before, however, there does not appear to be a simple visual on it. So thought I would confirm.

I am trying to set up limit switches. I would like to first test config on single switch. I believe that the best way is to wire a 24V power Supply +ve to the switch, then switch to the boards input Common. Then Wire 24V -ve to Input #. (Ref: Image attached.) Is this correct or should it be switch interrupting -ve side pathway?

I believe that once tested as confirmed I can run a single series based set of switches to use for X, Y and Z limit switches. Correct?

It seems indeed that you have to enable the one that you need, so it's better to put back the original dit and download the dtbo source from:
raw.githubusercontent.com/armbian/build/...3399-spi-spidev.dtso

First remove the spi overlays from armbianEnv.txt
Check which spi goes to the gpio pins and isn't in use by anything else and recompile/install with: sudo armbian-add-overlay rockchip-rk3399-spi-spidev.dtso

For the slow graphics you could try to see if the GPU irq is on a cpu with many other interrupts and move to a less busy CPU: cat /proc/interrupts

50us should still be okay I think, although I'm not sure how this influences the spi connection, likely that it will need a more optimized driver

That will not work, you must configure stepgen 4 as a charge-pump
(you cannot generate a 12 KHZ signal with an output bit)

Correction , i did enable charge pump in pncconf ...as an output.

May i disable charge pump on both BOB ,they got jumpers , test config as is,
just curious , than back to pncconf .

You can certainly issue "S" commands in MDI mode

I'd think you'd want to put the gear holes, and especially the registration hole(s), in the end before you start grinding lobes.  Even with adjustable timing pulley/gears you still need all the lobes to be referenced to something.

Do you have a good workhead for your grinder?  I picked up a surplus high-end grinder work spindle that I was thinking of turning in to a lathe headstock, but that's not likley to happen as it has no through-bore.  I could make you a sweet deal on it... quad AC bearings and runout is not measurable on a 50-millionths indicator.

If you have a 7I92T you need the Efinix tool set (Efinity) not the Xilinx tool set

The pinout looks almost identical to the G540 pinout except the step/dir pins are swapped,
so 7i92t_g540d.bin could be used if it's not too much of an issue to physically swap the
step/dir pins.

Note that for the charge-pump, a stepgen is normally used (and pncconf knows how to set this up)

If swapping the step/dir pins is too much of a pain, I can either build firmware with the more advanced stepgens
the can swap output pins (so its still a g540 configuration but with some added stepgen features)
or make a custom configuration. It is a fair nuisance to setup the tools so maybe not worth it for one configuration

  first time i try Ai , it's interesting ...it does look at forum ,tutorial + user manual doc ! i think .
Ease the boring pain (well , let's be optimistic, some may enjoy it) of repetition for you devs/coders repeating; as it's writen in the book ,or solved already there , etc...

nothing moved , Ai did not generate working hal  yet  , got to feed the thing with more

Yes. just create a configuration file set for the 5I25, the hal/ini files are identical
(even the name is the same in the hal file)

Regrading the Rpi there is a pre made image. Look on the Linuxcnc home page and go to the downloads section.

Regarding Xilinx ISE I can't recall having to have Virtualization on. Make sure you are using ISE 14.7 or less as Vivado doesn't support the spartan 6.

Pete from Mesa will usually build a new config for users, so just be patient.
