7i95t pin and firmware files with Stepgens and Inputs 5Axis BoB

Category: Driver Boards

Hi

a. Please guide as how this can be done. Do we need a separate bit file for this. If yes, please share.
-Note that this will only work on stock 7i95t firmware or 7i95t_5abob firmware
-if you disable the stepgens on DB25 pins 4,5 and on.

b. Also how can I generate pwmgen on Pin 1 of the DB25 BoB with 7i95t. Please share instructions / commands.

Z-Achse fährt Werkstücknullpunkt nicht an

Category: Deutsch

Hallo zusammen

Was habe ich übersehen?

MfG Roger

Thanks Peter, I didn't realise I was to connect field power for this test. I just did, and only get steady yellow lights on CR2 and CR8. No red fault light.

Please run LinuxCNC from the command line, then we will probably see what the error is ;-)

or a 7i92... i payed for both cards 100 euros...

so for my information... on a normal pc like optiplex 3020m or lenovo m73 tiny.. i have latency under 2000... but i never looked this way in the histogram.

can you explain me the spike?! please

Thanks, given that this issue only happens once a week or so, is the output logged anywhere?
This table gets some pretty heavy use so maybe it will be a good candidate for finding bugs.
Its probably not 100% current but the config is here

5 axis configuration.

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

'LIB:basic_sim.tcl' is used for simulation configs only. Also '..._cmd.hal' files are created automatically in sim configurations those do not exist in configs for real hardware.
Modifiying a simulation config to run real hardware is something I would advise you not to do. Instead I recommend to start out by creating a 4 axis config using pncconf (I don't know if fthe 7c80 is supported but I presume so).
- Get the four axes tuned and running smoothly.
- Add the 5. axis manually by copy/paste/modifying the relevant sections in the hal and ini files and get that also running smoothly.
- At this point you can then use the sim config as a reference on how to change to xyzac-trt kinematics.

Also when asking questions about a config you are working on it is usually a good start to attach your hal/ini files and any error messages you are getting.

Raspberry Pi 4 and bad latency.. SOLUTIONS?

Category: Installing LinuxCNC

Assuming you use the 7c81's FGPA for stepgen and don't sofware step, you don't need a base thread so latency requirements is much relaxed. I'd be happy with anything under 130,000 with 200,000 at a pinch

Config will not open after Buildbot2 upgade from 2.9.4 to 2.10

Category: Plasmac

Yes, there are over 20 messages saying it upgraded but not one message saying it got an error and failed during that upgrade attempt.
You can see I tried several times tying to get to the bottom of it, each generating a message.

The issue is that on two different PC's, the upgrade to a sim install failed without reporting an error which left me in the dark.
You seem unwilling to actually test such an upgrade process and instead want to blame my installation.
