Thanks.
Using the materials in github I was able to install. It is working now embedded within gmoccapy, first on my simulation in VMWare, and now also with my milling machine.
One other thing I stumbled upon, having embedded Nativecam active, is that when I load in gmoccapy an external gcode file, generated from my CAD system, it gives an error on the gcode, because somehow, it assumes that a Nativecam macro needs to be executed for my external gcode ??
I don't have the details now, can post those later, but did anyone run into that?

Hello, not so new to this linux stuff but I dont have smallest clue what goes wrong in installing.
Had machine up and running and it got fried and now I dont for the life of me get the new one installed properly.
Nativecam wont install, and Im about to give up.
Maybe im just stupid or something this is what I get:
Checking for curl...
Installing curl...
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
Package curl is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'curl' has no installation candidate
Running apt-get update... done.
Installing debian-archive-keyring which is needed for installing
apt-transport-https on many Debian systems.
Installing apt-transport-https... done.
Installing /etc/apt/sources.list.d/FernV_NativeCAM.list...ncam_debsetup.txt: line 115: curl: command not found
Unable to run:
curl packagecloud.io/install/repositories/Fer...wheezy&source=script
Double check your curl installation and try again.

Still the same error, like linux isn't finding updates or something.
Last time I had no trouble installing ncam following the instructions but on this new machine nothing gets done and I am starting to be desperate.

Installed curl manually and still no go, is there a new liveCD or something else how to for idiots to install, im out of ideas what to do, this was never a problem before and now everything is just error this and error that after liveCD install. Network works just fine, and update cant find a server for anything.
Starting to lean towards mach if this wont work, as I need the machine and Nativecam

Which LiveCD are you using?
There is one based on Stretch, if you are still on Wheezy.

www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/
I suggest booting in LiveCD mode and running the latency test first, it may be that preempt-rt isn't good enough on your hardware.

Latency was something around 4900 running couple of movie files and surfing on wheezy.
I will try that stretch next.
