HI,
I'm new to Pathpilot and just acquired a disk for it.
Read as many install tutorials I could find but I'm baffled. Left shift and left alt doesn't work when the splash screen shows up. After a few seconds it goes right to " Mesa interface card not detected.....etc."
Tried several times but no luck.
Would appreciate any suggestion on how to get past that.

theirs a number of things this can be , however my guess is your using an old motherboard and perhaps a USB or wifi keyboard , use a ps2 keyboard and it should work fine , then once the settings have changed to the USB keyboard , then you should be ok . this is more to do with motherboard bios and OS , than pathpilot it's self .

I have a mini motherboard somewhere with ps2 plugs. All I got to do is find it and try it.

Could you please tell me how to do the following in simple terms for a simple mind.
" sudo copy the previously downloaded extracted file operator_login_pp make a copy and rename
operator_login and overwrite the original,
( a copy of the original is included ).
and now make sure the properties of the file are correct.
both the owner (1001) & group (1002) so."
