Any idea, even 4th hand, what it would take to get hold of the PP source code?
I assume it's still 'open source' as it's a derivative work, but I suspect it'd be counter productive - much less a bit rude - to demand anything.
Anyone have a contact at Tormach - even just to ask about the trajectory planner and some other key improvements?

This is just 4th hand information though, and I know nothing about coding so take that for what it's worth

Sorry. The most I got was "at some point". It is not any sort of priority to bundle it up. I expect there is at this point a real mix of things that "must be" returned and things they very much do not want to give out and it actually takes work to separate it. This is after all the first PP/linuxcnc variant that could be considered properly industrial worthy.
You will be able to get the installer for $30 as normal, but in line with what's said before, it is less and less something that can be made to work on a non tormach 1500 machine. (I asked if it made sense to tryin it on my machine and the answer was basically not unless I buy all the same electrical parts they use).

They are probably reading this.

Hi,
I have recieved tormach's source. Not latest version.
In the tormach source, the tp.c file (planner) is nothing special. The planner can be used in lcnc within a few hours of work.
I can do that on request.
Btw think we don't need tormach's planner. As this planner out-perform's tormach's planner in every way :

This video is linuxcnc running scurve and toolpath optimalisation using velocity ends.
The video shows blended corners accordingly a gcode G64 P value.
It has look ahead, and look back. Settings can be changed bij hal parameters.
it has reverse motion by setting the motion adaptive feed to negative.
This is a result of working with a few dedicated forum members like Lcevette, Turboss, Joco.
Its installed flawless thanks Joco.
Soon available for download.

May I formally request this, please?
The work you guys are doing does seem very nice, but I do think there is value in having >3 axis look ahead using the current TP, on the master branch of LCNC.

Or maybe you have a better way to run more than 3 axis look ahead?
I think along with the s-curve another major update would be the look ahead.

Hi,
The planner in the video does account the abc axis into the motion using endvelocity's.
However it has no abc tooldir (tooldir blend) optimalisation feature at this moment.
