My cheap chinese Z axis is a piece of $#^*. I had thought of doing a 3D printed float assembly but I think I'll keep an eye on how this pans out, it look very interesting.

this is quite a very hard build on dusty Plasma
the Clamp(i hope i get it right it is the clamp)to torch inside a fixed is by far not good
it will head up the system
and as we use 5Plasmas in shop i can tell you as more material is around the torch it will produces EMI to the complete system over long distance

keep the torch off by at least 10cm to the machine frame

I think you might find that you will have to move the torch down in the holder as it will get quite warm at the business end
