I was wondering if the problem was a wire-reduced parallel port cable (as those are quite common) but it seems to be working now?

Hi Andy, yes it works sort of. Changed the pport PCI card so now readhmid and halcmd works but now I´m stuck to set up a config. A bit confused I am how to run stepconfig for 7i90.

You _don't_ use Stepconfig for a 7i90. You use PncConf.

Try a 7i80, then do a search and replace. It should be close.
You will also need to change the loadrt hm2_eth line to match the 7i90 line that you have already used a few times.

Slowly but this will be ready, here a test printed module2 rack in PLA. Appears to be OK so now I will print some more in PETG.
These are 250mm long with slotted backside to fit aluprofile, some sanding to do when spliced together for a longer rail.

this low budget went way out of budget as it has been anounced around 1000

why not using standard RACK poinion at T10 or T5
as it is NORM like here

for plasma realy good workes fine and even no steplos at gantry gearing

Hmmmm. I have never said any amount on my budget only that I will use what I have on hand and try to make do with it.

Just now I do not afford to buy these racks in steel.
My car broke down = lost my power steering so I need to buy a new servo pump.
VAG parts are not cheap!

So now I have racks 3x250mm mounted for Y axis. X axis racks will be ready today, 8.5hours to print each part.

VW parts are pretty cheap here as they are the most used cars here and there are plenty of authorized and unauthorized dealers/services.
Maybe you should move here ? :)
