9.6 cubic feet per minute is 270 litres per minute @70 psi!
And the cutter that Clive linked requires around 100 lpm at 4.5 bar, so we should be okay.

Would you recommend the CROS-ARC 40?
I'm looking at ordering one this weekend.
Do you think a machine torch is essential or a luxury? Packaging is obviously much nicer! But functionally?

With a hand torch the protruding side will always get stuck on something, to much weight on one side of the Z axis might tilt it so the cuts end up worse, no way of aligning it properly without a fixture.

On a machine the functionality of the machine torch is why it was made so.Do you think a machine torch is essential or a luxury? Packaging is obviously much nicer! But functionally?

I am happy with the cutter and glad I got the 80A machine torch. I will dig out the model tomorrow. A Hypertherm 45xp would have been nice but it is 3 times the price.
Funnily enough I am helping somebody set another machine up with one of those and is on route to me.

The plasma itself is still only 40A though? So the machine torch @ 80A only runs at 40A with this unit?
I've just sent WeldersWarehouse a couple of questions on it too!

Just dropped him a line for some linear square rails. Thanks Clive.
What have people used for the floating head slide? Nothing too complex. But stiff?
