No need to send it back, it can be opened and the pins can be moved to other places.
Check on the machine what pins are used, the ones with contacts inside and arrange the torch pins accordingly.
You might have to try several times by swapping them.

That must have been the same on my Everlast. I opened the torch and cut the wire...... after a bit of time with a multimeter...
