(Solved) PlasmaC new config Z going up when probing was created by Clive S
As the title PlasmaC new config Z going up when probing
The z moves with page down and the MDI goes down with -z
To set up it has been jogged down to slats and touched off then homed
Then using probe test it goes up until it hits the switch instead of going down.

This line in plasma_machine_connections.halneeds to be changed toWere the two Y axes manually added after the configurator was originally run to create this config?
Your MIN_LIMIT for AXIS_X and JOINT_0 are also conflicting
net plasmac:axis-position joint.1.pos-fb => plasmac.axis-z-position
net plasmac:axis-position joint.3.pos-fb => plasmac.axis-z-position
Your MIN_LIMIT for AXIS_X and JOINT_0 are also conflicting

Re: (Were the two Y axes manually added after the configurator was originally run to create this config?)
See below. The edit required were made then the configurator was run again. Also please be aware that this is on V0.126
and can't update for a few days.
Phill full disclosure.
This is the machine (running 2.9) that we were having trouble with in that the THC is not working and it also has a -59V displaying on the screen.
I had a working ssd (running 2.8) with my config on it that works on my machine, so I sent that over but then he had to cut and paste the various parts of his 2.9 config into to it. After that was done he ran the configurator again.
Now the machine homes and jogs fine at 15M/min but the Z went up when probing. The THC is still showing -59v on screen

That ini file is v0.097 which is from somewhere between Feb 02 and Jul 02, what version is he running?
If you want me to take a look you can zip the complete config and post it. You would need to fix the MIN_LIMITS so they are correct beforehand.

If you already have it post it as is and note in the post what the x min limits should be

Thank you Phill I know you are very busy.
I believe the X should be
MIN_LIMIT = -1
MAX_LIMIT = 990
Now you spotted the deliberate mistakes. I am sure we can do the recommended edits, the main problem is the THC
This is where the discussion on the THC is:- forum.linuxcnc.org/plasmac/39562-help-wi...smac?start=40#175728

A quick look only shows up the two settings I described earlier plus in plasma_machine hal you are missing:It is recommended in the user guide but I am not sure why...
I would also set the lowpass-frequency setting in plasma_machine_connections.hal to zero. This is only required to combat excessive noise but I wouldn't worry about that until your base settings are correct.
The usual reason for not reading zero is the calculations are incorrect or they are made incorrect by the divider being incorrect. Did you follow through the testing Rod suggested here:
forum.linuxcnc.org/plasmac/39562-help-wi...smac?start=50#175793
Edit: one other thing, your calcs show the offset as 3637.5 yet you have 3784.375 in the config panel.
