Try with lowpass set to 0 in your connections.hal file

Phill, your a genius!(where can i send the beer), changed low pass to 0, 20/20 close/reopen no nan.
i mean can increase the group to 100 sample? but 20/20 is pretty good!
now, whats broken where?

I guess I need to do some more testing. I might try it on my table and see if that makes a difference.
Does halcompile make a backup of the original plasmac.so? it should be in /usr/lib/linuxcnc/modules.
If not I will post an original comp so you can try it that way to make sure we are on the right track.

That is a good question, since my last post I set my sim lowpass to 25 and have been running combinations of numbers but cannot get it to -nanPhill, your a genius!(where can i send the beer), changed low pass to 0, 20/20 close/reopen no nan.

Interesting.
the difference i see is "new"plasmac.comp == -0 for volts.
old plascmas.comp == 0 for volts
20/20 with old plasmac (just installed) no nan.
ill poke the low pass again to 25 n see if it Nan's on me
edit: second opening with lowpass 25 == Nan

Some time back a few guys said they didn't like the -0 so I made anything between 0 and -0.5 read as 0. It has to do with how floating numbers are displayed.
It is possible to fine tune the Offset so it doesn't go below 0.
