Hi,

Does anybody know, where I can get a postprozessor for Fusion 360 (for PlasmaC) ?
The PP i found in Fusion only seems to work for milling ?

Thanks a lot,
Maik

Thanks Phil,

Now I want wo connect the THCAD to the Mesa 7i76E and found this wiring diagram for the Mesa 7i76:

forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/3933...0-7i76-wiring#171655

Is this wiring also correct for the 7i76E ?

PCW wrote that one could use the spindle enable-pins on the Mesa-Card to start the Plasma-Cutter. Does this also work for the 7i76e ? And the Plasma can be startet with M3 then ?

I bought a used Hypertherm Powermax 1000 G3 and the seller put some wires for divided voltage 1/50 and 1/20 and plasma-start out of the machine. The seller wired the machine so, that it can be used for hand-cutting and for machine-cutting (machine cutting with the "Start"-Cable he added to the machine by putting 2 wires together.)

In the wiring-diagram above there is a "Arc-OK"-Signal that doesn't come out of my machine. The machine also has a CNC-Plug, but I dont know, if there is an Arc-Ok-Signla.

Can I use PlasmaC without the ARC-Ok-Signal ?

And another question about the Fusion 360 PP:
I've created a little CAD-model and a cutting-path in fusion. Then I exported it with the PP. There is a line that I don't understand. It says "M190 P1"

Google says that M190 is used to wait for the correct bed-temperature on 3d-printers ? But I dont know how that can be used with a cnc-plasma cutter ?

Thanks a lot,
Maik

Yes with THCAD.
Most external THC generate their own ARCOK signal.

That is selecting material number 1:

Yes, I do that. It works perfectly.

Thanks a lot for your help.

When I use the Spindle-Enable-Pins then I don't need an additional relais-board ?
I've read, that the polarity has to be correct when wiring the plasma-cutter to the enable-pins. How do I know the correct polarity on the pins ?
And what is the expression for this spindle-enable-output-pin that needs to be used for the plasmac-configurator (hm2_7i76e... ?? ) ?

I created a base-machine with pnconf. Then I ran the plasma-c-configurator and was able to start the plasmac-machine created.

Then I wanted to make some changes to the base-machine and deleted the plasmac-configuration-folder under /home/maik/linuxcnc/configs/cnc-test1

Then I made the changes to the base-machine and ran the plasmac-configurator again. When the configurator finished I tried to open the plasmac-machine that has been created. But now I get an error when using the

linuxcnc /home/maik/linuxcnc/configs/plasma_test1/plasma_test1.ini - command:
maik@PlasmaCNC:~$ linuxcnc /home/maik/linuxcnc/configs/plasma_test1/plasma_test1.ini

as well as in the output of the shell command 'dmesg' and in the terminal
Maybe somebody knows what is wrong ? And how is it possible to create a shortcut on the desktop for this machine ? So that I dont need to always start it via terminal (linuxcnc... ) but with a desktop-shortcut ?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Maik

HAL: ERROR: thread 'servo-thread' not found

This is telling you there is no servo thread set up, or at least none with the name servo-thread. That should be found in your base hal file. You could post your ini and hal files here.

And how is it possible to create a shortcut on the desktop for this machine ?

Thank you, Phil

I created a new Base-Config and a new PlasmaC-machine. Now PlasmaC works.

I am able to cut without THC, but when I try to use THC there is an error as soon as the Arc ignites(instantly after ignition). There is even no penetration on the sheet.

Valid Arc lost, program paused

I set THCAD on F/34 and calculated the Arc-values with the online-tool in the plasmaC-documentation.

Here are the Hal, INI-file and ngccreated with Fusion 360 PP.

The ARC-voltage goes up to about 140-150V when pushing the torch-test-button. I start the Plasma-cutter with a 24v relais.

Maybe somebody knows why this error occours ?

Thanks,
Maik

Some plasma machines don't cooperate properly with arc ok derived from voltage, there are two different things you could try:

Use a reed relay for arc ok and change to Mode 1, this method is very reliable:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/plasma/plas...ide.html#reed-arc-ok

Try adding a delay for loss of arc, I haven't had any feedback on this so I am not sure how reliable it is not what amount of time you would need:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/plasma/plas...html#_lost_arc_delay

There is also a M3 line missing from you gcode file, it should look someting like:
N120 G0 X-5.5 Y0.
N125 Y10.5
N127 M3 $0 S1 (ADD THIS LINE)
N130 G1 X25.
N135 G2 X30.5 Y5. J-5.5
