It's honestly hard for me to say since I don't see the issue. I don't think it's a QtPlasmaC issue as we haven't changed anything that would affect the preview (that I can recall anyways). So much changes in the LinuxCNC project in addition to our versioned updates, so it's hard to say.
The issues I saw related to the origin separating were described in this post: forum.linuxcnc.org/qtvcp/44574-graphics-...window-issues#229428
However, those were around December 17, which is before the working version you referenced above.
It maybe be helpful if you built from source, and checked out specific commits and tried to narrow down the one that started causing problems for you. Otherwise it's a real needle in a haystack since again, not sure anyone else is seeing your issue :-/

Seems more like an OpenGL issue.
When you upgraded, did any other packages upgrade?
You can upgrade just LinuxCNC by using Synaptics package manager, search for LinuxCNC, mark for upgrade, apply.
Do this only after updating the repos.

I am mortified to make you waste so much time. I always updated everything and everything was fine, now I try as Tom said and let you know

If you like a fair bit of work then you could build linuxcnc as run in place from any time by checking out specific commits.
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/code/building-linuxcnc.html
Can you try running an Axis Sim config and a QtPlasmaC Sim config to see if they both have the same issue.

axis, qtdragon, and qtvcpscreen don't have this problem. qtplasmac sim instead loses the red square of the limits but the detachment of the coordinates does not occur. then maybe I'll try what you said but for now I have to finish the electronics ... buttons, joystick, encoder thc override
