Chris,
Hazzy's branch, that I just learned how to branch and fork myself (thanks to TurBoss's and Hazzy's awesome Jedi tutelage).. Still all very new to me, just scratching the surface. Your welcome to come join the party, lots of free flowing ideas and a great motivated teamwork environment, seems like great strides are being made daily! Would love to gather all the brilliant minds and talented people together, may be helpful in knocking out several of the currently proposed GUI's to give LinuxCNC a much needed options upgrade! We are over on the IRC #Hazzy
Thanks for the encouragement!
Chris

Chris:
It's a very nice take on tormach's screen.
Are you using Kurt's pyqtvcp branch or my qtvcp branch?
Keep up the good work!

cmorley is probably thinking we should join him, and he is right ...
It is my fault that there are parallel projects. I did not intend to cause fragmentation, as it just makes it confusing and diffuses resources. Our goals are just enough different it makes it a little difficult, but I think in time we can bring them back together and have the best of both.
Cheers,
Kurt

But either way I am just glad linuxcnc is getting some new blood and enthusiasm.

yes it would be great if we could all work our individual talents on one overall project. it's tough to do for sure.cmorley is probably thinking we should join him, and he is right ...

Grotius, the code is hosted on gitlab: gitlab.com/Hazzy/qtpyvcp
Still very preliminary, I'll try and get some basic docs put up soon.
Cheers,
Kurt

Kurt,
With all my love, please provide a linux iso cd, then everyone can try it in minutes.

Grotius, that is not practical, but hopefully it will eventually be included in the LCNC iso.

Kurt,
Something to think about. I will try to do my best for making the first iso's for exploring new linux improvements.
Then users can explore this feature on a seperate hard disk, without spending much time how to install dependencies etc.
I was thinking about this feature for a time, after spending hours and hours compiling linuxcnc and different kernels.
But i think i must explore this feature in a smart way (123 step to iso) to improve the installation speed.
My second thought is a user friendly clone zilla server clone application. This would be the ultimate way.
The God of Git.
