Hat sich die Sache mittlerweile erledigt?

Hi everyone,I’m trying to use the Magic Comments in QtPlasmaC to automatically create/select materials from my G-code.

Example:

Result:
- QtPlasmaC shows an error like “invalid parameter in magic comment”
- The material is not created automatically

Material management in the GUI works normally

My goal is to automatically load correct cut settings (pierce height, cut height, feed rate, etc.) from the G-code generated in my CAM software.

Questions:
- Any specific setting to enable this feature in the INI / QtPlasmaC preferences?
- Could someone share a working example G-code header with material Magic Comments?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Later I'll send you an example; I have two potentiometers connected to a 7i73 to control those parameters, and with a component that saves their position when the LCN is executed.

I have checked the wiring of the drivers and the controller board. Everything seems to be fine.

With the 5 drivers turned on and the 3-axis configuration, it works fine. When I open the 5-axis configuration I have created, it gives an error.

Could it be due to a parameter in the HAL or INI?

No problem, thanks for your work on moderation - I know it's constant and often thankless. Appreciate you keeping the forums free of spammers and more use to us all as a result!

Hi, thank you for the beta version. Just a small question, the 3.1.4.beta is 193.7 KB while the 3.1.3 is 350 KB. Is the beta full version? why is it so much smaller? Thanks

Do you see pll-reset-count increasing?

What's the exact error message you get? I can search the code to see what's going on.

You can always try "ethercat rescan", sometimes it clears errors.
e-stop on when you do this.

Edit: I guess it is PLL error 0x32 error message you get.
Check for other messages in syslog, like missed datagrams.
Improved network latency is the answwer in that case.
Also the pll-reset-count as mentioned above.

So the plasma_gcode_preprocessor which comes with Monokrom works for you? I still had no success.

I used sheetcam with the plasmac post processor and let monokrom's filter do the hole processing.

Saw this happen recently as well, both when I started a new thread here:

And when I updated my thread here:

Screenshots attached,  hopefully this helps with troubleshooting!

Well, some good news and some bad news. I did get all the servos moving and confirmed all the controllers work via USB connection and the DMM software (hooray!). I also got the latest versions of mesaflash, MesaCT, and got things mostly figured out for the estop configuration in linux CNC.

Unfortunately - I also discovered that my Anything IO board appears to be bricked, so that throws a wrench in making progress for a bit. Started a thread in the appropriate section on that here:  forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/5795...done-lights-on-7i92m

Two steps forward, discover you're one step back, so it goes!

Hi,

I'm midway through converting a Brother TC215 to LinuxCNC control (I started a thread here: forum.linuxcnc.org/12-milling/57928-conv...er-tc215-to-linuxcnc ), and I've been learning a lot / things have been going well, but I've gotten to the point where I wanted to test the MESA cards in the mill and I've discovered that when I power up the MESA 7I92M board, the Init and Done lights stay red. It won't respond to ping, and doesn't show a link light via ethernet on either side of the cable.

I saw a post from PCW ( forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/4431...-7i96-flashing-error ) that says the Init and Done lights staying illuminated indicate corrupted flash memory. If this is the case, I'm assuming the best option is to get in touch with MESA and see about having them reflash it? Any guidance welcome.

Also, I've got a 7I76 and a 7I77D in the mill, and now I'm concerned that if there's an issue with the 7I92M that there's a problem with those boards as well. If I power those with 5v via the appropriate terminals / jumper settings, will I be able to verify if they work via looking at the lights on the boards?

Thanks for any help / guidance, it's really amazing to have this forum as a resource!

Yeah, you’re probably right, and I’m leaning toward LinuxCNC anyway.

Personally, I'd just buy a servo and rip oit all the crap on the spindle, you can get a 5kw spindle and drive on Alibaba for $400 shipped or less. That'll give you what you're after for a lot less hassle. Pull out the pulley system and all and just direct drive. Get a 5000rpm servo that should give you way more cut powe than you have.
