Are those Z axis bellows covers MAHO parts, or did you get the chinese to make them for you? My Maho could also do with a fig leaf to modestly cover her exposed parts
By the way, I screwed up and crashed the MAHO's slotting head (it is in my last lathe video...)
Doesn't appear to have caused any permanent damage to the MAHO or slotting head. Just the boring bar bent.

Axis:
I had to swap the servo to the front-side, as the bellows cover was a little too big unfortunately
Now the servo is a little bit in the way, when adjusting the chuck.
I mechanically adjusted the Gear/Chuck etc. to be perfectly parallel to the table yesterday and installed everything.
Next step is to wire everything up and finally paint it green.

Hi Mark,
exactly !
I like to have a proper wiring from the beginning.
This includes the conduit and connectors.
There is nothing more frustrating (for me) than having the axis working and the cables still have to to be cut, relocated and wired up.
Cheers

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNice. You are using an original Maho manual rotary table with encoder feedback into the control arent you?
My Maho has a connector for a fourth axis feedback, but that was all. Sooner or later I am sure I'll get motivated to do some sort of fourth axis as well. I like the cast iron framed harmonic drive Andy did, although I'd use a hollow shaft one like this:
and belt drive it to allow stock to pass through the body.
Or maybe I get lucky and pick up a 150-250 sized Nikken for a good price.
