The EC500 has 24V IO and used an STM32F407 at 168Mhz vs an STM32F207. Has a little more IO as well.

It's looking like EC500's are as rare as hens teeth now, so much so they are not even listed by Digital Dream. There is a new EC300 out.

 

A few kind people have dropped a few dollars here and there in my Paypal account so I've just ordered a 3 axis verson. It looks to be a cross between the NVEM and the EC500 looking at the layout. It will be interesting to see which STM32 it is using.

There still seems to be EC500's on aliexpress, I sorta had already ordered the NVEM and a mate was going to get the EC500 so we could compare them. He hasn't actually ordered any yet but they do seem to be there.

As far as I know the EC300 is running iMX RT1052 which is Cortex-M7 @ 600 MHz.... apparently.www.embeddedartists.com/products/imx-rt1052-oem/

Interesting. How do you know that it's using this chip?? I'm not so happy now .... Another tool chain to figure out...
