I had a quick look today and it is relatively easy to use different .tcl GUI files with Axis and continue using the one axis.py file provided that the widget names and hierachy remain the same.



And PlasmaC works with it...

Interesting! So you have modified Axis.py to accept a parameter saying which TCL file to use?

Yes, you can specify either a name which loads a .tcl file from the same directory axis.tcl lives or a path/name in your home directory for a "local" .tcl file

I pushed a test branch with a couple of sims in the axis example configs.

herewith neater versionkey <cntlr -q> to quitkey <h> hides bottom panekey <g> shows bottom paneplease test this if possible, any bugs I will sort out.

It works. It also changes the colours, only once, and upon relaunch it sets the colours back to default.

It works for me, restarted linuxcnc a few times and color scheme remains.
