Mesa 7I44-7I70/7I71 was created by SRT
Are the Mesa 7I44-7I70 and 7I71 cards supported yet on the latest V2.5? This is the set-up I will be installing through a 5I23 with a 7I79 for the resolvers.

I ran across this from one of my older posts.
(Note that the support for the 7i70 / 7i76 etc is not in there yet, but I just need to press a button to make it happen)

Yes all the 7I7X SSerial cards are supported in the latest 2.5

7I49 and 7I44 on 5I23 will require RMSVSS6_8.BIT configuration:
RM = Resolver Module
SV = Servo for PWMs
SS = SmartSerial

Can you tell me where to find this firmware? I have been in the pncconf and it is not listed as an option. I looked on the Mesa site and did not see it there either.

In an effort to answer my own question. Do I have to have the boards connected while using pnc? Maybe that is why it is not an option to me?

freeby.mesanet.com/rmsvss6_8.bit is the 5I23 bitfile

I dont have a .pin file ATM but its setup for:
7I49 six channel resolver /analog servo interface on P2
7I52S six channel encoder plus six PWM/DIR channels on P3
7I44 Eight RS-422 interface on P4 (FPGA has eight channel SSerial interface)

I think this will be tough for pncconf to support

at the present pncconf only supports 1 port of max 4 channels of sserial ( the other four are just not configurable in pncconf but you could do it manually in HAL)
the 7i70/7i71 are not supported yet. I need at print out of the HAL pins before I can. The 7i64 is supported (mode 0 only)
the resolver daughther board is supported in pncconf but i've not tested the HAL code to see if it is right.
you do not have to have the boards connected for pncconf to work but you need the XML file.
Peter does not supply these. but if he supplies the pin file I can hand make one if you would like to experiment.

Or just build the config by hand :)

I am a little confused. Are you saying that if I had the 7I52 it would go to P3?
I have purchased the 7I44 resolver /analog servo interfacs and the 7I44 RS-422 Interface along with the 7i70 and 7i71 boards.

Yes if you had a 7I52S it would go to P3
Since you don't have 7I52S you leave P3
unconnected or use it for GPIO or
GPIO daughtercards like the 7I37

I kind of figured I would be making it by hand. I was hoping for the best, I am very green to Linux and EMC2, I hope my questions are not way out of left field. Just trying to learn and apply in very small steps.

I keep getting an error when i try and start EMC2 with my config 10CC. I created it in pnc but edited the correct firmware into it. It looks like it can not find the firmware and that is why it is showing the error. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the error report, thanks.
