So you're saying I can generate PWM in hardware on one of the SSR outputs?
That would work for now, and I'd add a breakout board on P1 for more outputs as you suggest.
I'm using a Homan Designs Digispeed DC03 GX V3 board for isolation between the Mesa and my spindle controller. Isolation is needed because inputs in the VFD float near mains potential. Its a Sieg brushless motor and controller that came on my mill.

I'd be happy taking some GPIO from elsewhere to drive the DC03 board, and saving the SSRs for switching heavier loads via relays.
Cheers!
Shaun

You could use the parallel expansion port for driving that interface
Just make sure you have common grounds before you connect signals

Thanks Peter - unfortunately it has more then 50 pins so it will require extensive code changes - may be awhile to get this one done.

Hi Peter,
To be clear, you're suggesting a software based PWM instead of a hardware based 'pwmgen' ? or am I missing something about setting modes on the GPIO pins on P1.
I'd prefer to use a hardware pwmgen if thats possible.
Cheers!

I noticed a problem with the 7i95 input / input-not pins in LinuxCNC 2.9 latest version. They normally flip-flop.
input-00 low
input-00-not high
input-00 high
input-00-not low
but input-xx-not stays low all the time.

Yes, just fixed this but I don't have push access (missing parenthesis in "not" expression)
will try to get this pushed asap
