You would need different firmware
(more typically you would replace the last stepgen=stepgen5 with a PWMgen)

No you don't need to mess with W7 unless you write incorrect firmware to the card

Here is a bifile for a 5i24_25+ 7I52s+7I52 with the last stepgen changed to a PWMgen
Note that the PWM direction pin has been left as plain GPIO as this is usually the most flexible option.
If you wish to do this yourself, you need the XIlinx tool chain, typically
webpack 14.7

Greetings !!!!
@PWC
Could you please confirm drivers coz i am trying to drive X axis on TX0 (7i52s) its not working then i tried on TX5 (7i52s) its not working while try on TX2, TX3, TX4 its work perfectly i tried to swap both 5i24 and 7i52 with spared board its return same and i have also tried both drivers:
5i24_25_sssvst6_12_7i52s_7i52 = 5 step/dir, 1 PWM, 6 SSerial, 12 encoder
5i24_25_sssvst_6_12_6_7i52s_7i52d = 6 step/dir, 6SSerial, 12 encoder
both behave same.
Here is mine HAL and INI files
Thanks
UPDATE !!!!!
i have swapped 7i52s and getting signals on stepgen channel 5 with 5i24_25_sssvst_6_12_6_7i52s_7i52d drivers but still not getting ant signals on ch 0 then i have checked voltage TX0A and /TX0A gives about 4.8V and when change direction it goes + to - vice versa but TX0B and /TX0B keep 0V no changes. So could you change driver 5i24_25_sssvst6_12_7i52s_7i52 where currently ch5 is pwm which i want to move to ch 1 and stepgen to ch 5 ??

TX0B and TX3B need to be enabled specifically
(This is described in the 7I52S manual page 10 and controller pinout page 4)
If you are using the first connector, I/O bits 0 and 23 must be set low to enable TX0B and TX3B. You can do this by setting the "is_output" parameter of those pins.
On the second connector with a 7I52S, the enable pins would be I/O bits 24 and 47

@pwc
Ohw I think i am novice in Linuxcnc i have read it in manual but i thought it will be done in firmware (bitfile) and also have read about is_output in lcnc hm2 documentation
So i am using first connector (P4 of 5i24) for Stepgen and pwmgen and 6 encoder and second connector (P3 of 5i24) for 6 encoder and 6 sserial so yes to enable TX0B and TX3B i have to set io bit 0 and 23 by following syntax in hal file
hm2_5i24.0.gipo.0.is_ouput true
hm2_5i24.0.gipo.023.is_output true
Is that right
And do I need to set io bit 24 and 47 "is_output" to utilise all smart serial chanel ?
