Are you changing it again soon - as I won't update PNCconf if it will.
Yes, it changed again. The tag is now sserial_port_N=nnnnnnnn
It won't change again.

loadrt hm2_pci config="firmware=hm2/5i23/SVSS6_8.BIT num_encoders=6 num_pwmgens=6 sserial_port_N=nnnnnnnn"
Any ideas?
Try sserial_port_0=00000000 ?
(The "N" and "n" were just placeholders for digits)

So i started EMC, and was going to click on the Machine Power Icon/Button F2, but it is inactive,
Maybe I don't remember correctly but I thought that button was active last time I was looking at axis.
I updated today 2.5.
Is there something that determines when the Machine Power button is active or not?
I attached my HAL file.

When I started all this I was planning to write a short book explaining all the things I did not understand so others without much electronics experience would be able to follow it, now that book is looking like it will be quite long.
I am so lucky have you all helping me.

The 12v+ was connected to the 1st connection and the 2nd connection went to ground.
When I would click the machine power button on and off the relay would open and close,
That was great, the first real progress.
Then it stopped working, checked all the connections, nothing wrong.
So I moved the wires to another open spot on on the same 7i64, no difference.
So I moved it to another 7i64 and it works fine.
I notice that when I click the machine Power button on and off, the 7i64 that is working has amber lights that turn on and off, the one that isn't working doesn't have the amber lights.
Both 7i64 have 2 green lights showing.
I hope I didn't do something wrong to burn out the 7i64.
I don't know what to do now though.
