OK forgot to wire the enable on the c10 card. Now that it is hooked up getting 5v across pin 3 and the common/ground and pin1 common/ground. No movement yet
pin 2 is set to x step and pin 3 is direction
pin 2 wires to pul- on the driver
pin 3 wires to dir-
the common/ground is wired to pul+ and dir+

Stepconf only makes parallel port configs so if you connect to
your CPU's parallel port, it will likely work

If you wish to use the C10 breakout with the 5I25, you must first choose an appropriate firmware to match the C10s pinout
You can do this by looking at the various .pin files in the 5i25.zip support image from Mesa (in configs/hostmot2/) and
checking to see which one is a close match to your C10 breakout. A g540x2 config may be close as should the probrfx2
Once you have chosen the firmware, you must re-flash the 5I25 with this firmware. This is done with the mesaflash utility
something like
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --write 5i25_g540x2.bit
to write the new firmware to flash
and
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload
to reload the FPGA with the new firmware
Then you should be able to use pncconf to get a close to correct set of hal and ini files by
choosing the 5i25 with the g540 firmware option (even if you are not using the G540 firmware,
the created hal and ini files should be close as all parallel port compatible pinouts are similar)

Why is it not an option?

I use the 5i25 card with my 7i76 card on my brother tc211. I don't want flash the card so it doesn't work with the other machine.

You can always flash it back to the old config
( the flash chip used has a lifetime of 10,000 writes so you are not likely to wear it out)
